For 160 years, HSBC Red has been more than a colour - it has been a symbol recognised across borders, cultures, and generations. The Red You Carried Home reimagines that iconic red not as branding people simply look at, but as something they can physically take with them.The idea transforms HSBC-owned airport spaces into large interactive installations built entirely from red fridge magnets inspired by the monuments, symbols, and cultural identities of different countries. From the Taj Mahal in India to the Burj Khalifa in the UAE and the Merlion in Singapore, each magnet becomes a small collectible piece of HSBC Red. Travellers are invited to remove and keep them, slowly revealing hidden visuals underneath as the installation changes over time.The project explores how branding can move beyond visibility and become part of people’s everyday lives. What begins as an airport billboard eventually travels into homes, kitchens, workspaces, and memories turning a global corporate colour into a personal souvenir.This campaign was designed as an exploration of interaction, cultural symbolism, environmental storytelling, and how physical objects can create emotional connections with a brand long after the moment of encounter has passed.
